Perthshire white water rafting trips range from low-stress mild river runs which are perfect for a few splashes for the tame at heart, to white-knuckle, stomach churning rapids and roller coaster drops!
The friendly, professional staff will help pair the right stretch of river to the level of excitement and difficulty that you’re looking for.
River Tay is the largest volume river rafted commercially in Scotland, ideal for first-time rafters and adrenaline junkies alike - stretches of quiet water allow ample time to practice paddling techniques, look at the scenery or get caught up in a friendly water fight. If it is bigger rapids you are seeking, why not come along a challenge the River Tummel, which boasts guarenteed water levels throughout the summer season as the Scottich Hydro Electric release a substantial amount of water from the Clunie Dam during the weekends. The Tummel has two main rapids - Zoom Flume and of course the unforgettable Washing Machine, which offer a great introduction to the thrills and adventure of white water rafting in Perthshire...
You will enter the water in front of the dam where you are straight into the action. A little downstream we reach a slightly calmer section of water, here your experienced guide will teach you the techniques you will require for tackling what’s round the corner! From here on in you will witness the unforgettable scenery and awesome power of the Lower River Tummel.
This is where the real adventure begins, an epic 4 mile journey through extreme rapids such as the untameable ‘Zig-Zag’ and formidable ‘Sharks Tooth’ and to top it off we take you down the most unforgettable part of river, an 18ft double drop over the Linn of Tummel. This is where the journey comes to an end, here you can get your feet back onto dry land and start planning your next white water rafting adventure.
This trip makes for a fantastic day out, no prior rafting experienced is required but we do advise it is not for the faint hearted. (16yrs+ for this experience) White water rafting is a great idea for Stag Weekends...

Booked a 'stag do' through Karen at Activity Scotland. The location itself at Boreland was fantastic. Karen’s organisation was first class and all communication was prompt and accurate. I wouldn’t hesitate to book activities again via Activity Scotland- thanks Karen.
4 of us went canyoning today as a birthday celebration. It was fantastic! Highly recommend it! If all guides are as good as Andy then you're doing something right. Ally was amazing. Super friendly, funny and really knowledgeable. Made our morning. We're already planning our next outdoor adventure
