Routes and tracks web the whole area, from light to serious - and on the way providing not just breathtaking views and scenes but visits from the local wildlife - deer, squirrels, osprey and if you are lucky, the golden eagle, and many more - just miles and miles of sensational quiet cycle routes.
Maybe you'd prefer that all your arrangements are made for you. Then we can organize a plethora of cycling routes, and accommodate the serious off-roaders where we can help organize mountain biking activity breaks. Or maybe you'd prefer simply to just make it up as you go along. Then return to your 'haven' where you can always be sure of a hot bath to soothe those tired muscles at the end of the day!
The hotel is a member of Scottish Tourist Board's Walkers and Cyclists Welcome Scheme. And we warmly welcome bike clubs and touring groups - BMW and Harley Davidson clubs and enthusiasts are regular visitors to this sensational biking area.
The touring cyclist will find that Sustrans Route 7 passes right through Blair Atholl, very near to us. And nearby Pitlochry is the centre of 3 major cycling areas of Highland Scotland with 6 waymarked routes - cycle highways around the most stunning and spectacular scenery of Highland Perthshire. From 10miles to 40 miles, we have descriptive route maps at your disposal. The six are Garry cycle route, Schiehallion cycle route, Farragon circuit, Loch Tummel Circuit, Loch Rannoch circuit and the River Tummel circuit - all more or less on the doorstep.
It is possible to cycle right around Loch Rannoch with fantastic views across the Loch to Beinn Pharlagain, the Glen Lyon Mountains and the stunning Schiehallion'.
